LATER EDIT: Below is our initial 2-star reviewWe had high hopes for this pan, after having installed and enjoyed its smaller sibling, the K9054.To start off, this pan was warped, albeit slightly, according to my contractor. He could not get both of the shorter edges to be level at the same time - clearly a manufacturing defect. Unfortunately, we were too far committed into our remodel, so we ploughed on after determining the warp was minor...It was installed using a procedure similar to what was used with the earlier pan. Prior to tile, we verified that the pan was sitting squarely on the floor, with no rocking. To our dismay, the K9055 seems week underfoot. When you first step onto it, while it does not sag like a badly-supported plastic pan, you do feel some tremors or vibrations in the pan. These tremors die off quickly, but it does feel unpleasant. The floor was actually reinforced after a first attempt at installation, before we reasoned out that it was the pan itself that was ringing. The pan seemed to have no blemishes or damage prior to installation, so we think this 'character' is representative of the breed. We tried to shore up the pan by injecting foam into the space under it, mainly to damp out the vibes, but there has been no significant improvement. FWIW, we used 2lb/cubic ft expandable 2-part foam, and have about 1 cu. ft. tucked away in there. It may end up being an 'educational' experience for us. At this point we are not sure whether the problem is in the pan or in the surrounding structure, or the installation itself. Unfortunately, due to this uncertainty, we are unlikely to use this product again, nor recommend it. We however do look forward to easy cleaning, our prime motivation to choose a solid surface pan.EDIT (1 week later, upgraded to 4 stars)... The pan vibrations were completely damped out by pumping in under the pan, cheap, but messy insulation spray-foam available at major hardware stores. We used about 3 cans of 'Great Stuff Big Gap' Filler. The pan now feels solid, like cast iron is supposed to feel, and I look forward to many years of low maintenance service and smart looks. Given the simplicity of the fix, I upgraded the pan to 4 stars, but budget some time to damp out the pan prior to installation. If you do go down this road, it may be worthwhile to experiment with a can of your intended foam to see how much it expands, how it sets, and how much masking you have to do to limit the mess.
