Our shower head was leaking due to old faucet valves that was allowing a tiny bit of water to trickle through. We had a plumber come and fix the leak by tightening the valves and replacing the gaskets but here it goes again about 6 months later. He said the only option back then was to break through the sheet rock and replace the valves. So I bought this and attached it at the shower head and it is working perfectly! $10 dollars and problem solved. The movement of the valve is smooth and easy. Wife not complaining and I am not spending a fortune getting new shower valves installed and sheet rock repairs. Just a mess thinking about it. Highly recommend this option.good quality product.easy to install and use.excellent service.I discovered my new dual shower head system didn’t have a shut off for the head on the hose, so I looked for a shutoff valve that would compliment the new shower head and found this unit would fill the bill. It does as advertised without leaking. I put a few wraps of Teflon tape on the threads because I didn’t want to re-do it. I thought it was going to reduce flow…it does not! I’m so glad. It closes easily and is of good quality. The threads are rough and benefitted from the tape. For $10, it’s a good value.It is getting hard to find things that are not made from plastic, so when I found this valve I had to try it. Seems to be well made but only time will tell.Adjust water pressure.I needed heavier shower pressure when doing things like trying to bath our large mutts but don't need it that powerful the rest of the time. I knocked the flow restrictor out and installed this. Instant adjust-ability. The other added bonus I found is the ability to get hot water to my shower much faster in the morning then back the pressure down for my shower.Water is like gold in California right now. We all need a shower shutoff and there wasn't one in the guest shower at my daughter's house where I was housesitting so I ordered this one. I was skeptical as the one's I've installed before all had a pushbutton, This is more of a sliding valve and it works great for controlling the volume of the water as well as a compete shutoff.Little, well made all brass flow control valve is easy to install and use. Perfect for what I needed.
