Swivels to less than thirty degrees. After putting on showerhead, the swivel came apart since I needed to change it, Since the piece of the swivel was tight on the showerhead I needed to get a pair of pliers on it without gripping the threads. The gap is about an eight of an inch so I had to find a very thin pliers. Would have helped if the neck between the threads for the showerhead and the threads that locks the swivel in place had been hexagon so I could use a standard wrench.
