Veteran DIY'er here setting the record straight. We read the reviews on this faucet and weren't quite sure about the threading since others had mentioned it wasn't a standard American size. Hogwash, it's a normal 1/2 inch FIP thread. Maybe the company updated their threading or maybe those other people weren't the brightest crayons in the box. Can't say for sure.Item arrived in about 2 weeks and we just finished hooking it up and testing everything before we begin to tile. It works great! No leaks and great water pressure, especially out of the tub portion. Rain shower is nice and the height is adjustable to a degree. The whole thing looks really sharp. Other faucets like this are MUCH more expensive so this thing is a grand slam for sure.So why did I give it 4 stars then?1. It doesn't come with directions. We had it put together in 5 minutes or so, but some people may struggle with this. There are quite a few parts to this puppy.2. This is a bit nit picky, but there is a bolt running through the shower head that came with the incorrect nut. The bolt is a fine thread and the nut is a course thread. It still works as is and you can't see it, but you might as well put the correct nut on it. You can get one for like 15 cents at any home improvement store.3. It does not have anti scald settings.Edit: It has independent hot and cold handles. Of course there isn't anti scald. If that is what you want then you have to buy a faucet that controls both hot and cold with a single handle.Update: Still works great 18 months later.Final Update: 3 years later the valve that delineates between tub/shower is leaking. I can't really fault the faucet for this as we literally moved the valve every single day since it was installed. I ordered another unit and will swap this part out as that's the only issue I've had. Cheaper than retiling. For those complaining about leaks, use pipe dope. Teflon isn't adequate.I have received my set today, quiet quickly, since I ordered just last week. So, yes, the shipping was very fast. It was delivered by FedEx.As I opened the product, I was pleasantly surprised to see how everything has been packed nicely and with care to avoid damage through shipping. All the little parts were wrapped separately and some more delicate parts were wrapped in fabric first and than in plastic. Now, that's taking care of the item and making sure your costumer gets it in the best shape possible. I have purchased this for a new construction and my plumber has looked at it today and said it was fine for the installation. He also said that we do not need a special valve, which we had already ordered thinking we will need it as we needed some for our other Delta shower faucets that we are putting in in our other bathrooms. So, that's is another 30$ or more saving for you if you get this, since you do not need the extra valve that many shower brand name faucets require. The ORB finish of this shower set looks very beautiful. I have compared it with my ORB Delta shower, and it has more bronze streaks through it than Delta's shower head. The Delta's shower head is almost completely black on top, where the big shower head of this set has many lines of bronze showing through the black, which I believe is what gives the ORB finish its beauty. I did notice some small cosmetic flaws on the product, which believe me, I do not mind at all if this set is going to serve me well and be 300 or more dollars cheaper than the brands sold at Home Depot or Lowes. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because I did not test its performance yet. I hope to return back when the shower head set is installed and tried enough for me to rate it accordingly.Have only used it once so the 4 stars aren't very reliable. The contractor installed it as it looks, so the faucet is way high out of the bathtub. I would have liked him to extend it as it is made to do and lowered the hot/cold water handles and faucet.I have a question I'm hoping someone can answer. The cold is on the right and the hot on the left. Also the hot turns on to the left and stops to the right while the cold is lefty-loosy, righty-tighty. Is this a contractor flaw or the way the system is made?I would give it 5 stars except I do not like the drain. I guess you press where is says close to close it and press where it says open to open it. If the tub is full of water you can't see which is which. This was a problem for my husband giving our boys a bath when I drew the bath. Someone kept hitting the drain making the water start to drain out and they had to have me keep coming back to close it. I was never really sure if what I was doing was working. I guess we'll get used to it.I bought this fixture for an outdoor shower after reading through the reviews. It is installed now and I had only minimum/moderate difficulty with it. The fittings (1/2" npt) are a little finicky that connect into the house plumbing. They fit american standard plumbing but are chinese made and you can tell. It was easy to cross thread the connection and I'm tightening up to fix a leak now, so be careful with them and wrap well with plumbers tape. From what I can tell the directions are a little weak but it's not hard to figure out what goes where. The bar for the shower head is a little low and the support is a little wobbly as others have mentioned but it does the job.Appearance wise this fixture is really nice and operates smoothly. If you are looking for a first rate quality, heavier duty, oil rubbed bronze fixture you're gonna pay double this amount. This fixture, for the money, is not a bad deal at all. It operates very smoothly. I'm giving it a 4 star because a couple things could be slightly approved but for the money it's a good deal. Hopefully it holds up with time and being (covered) outside.
